We started working with Andy Kehoe sometime in the fall of 2009, trying to figure out the best way to make his work into a screen print and after extensive collaborating with Andy, I believe we’ve got a great print coming up in “Forest Dragon”… Andy was gracious enough to send along the original to us with the print files.
We’ll be printing in a different colorway than the original, but here’s a detail shot of the piece to whet your appetite!
For those of you who aren’t too plugged into the Brazilian art scene, I present to you, Rodrigo Level.
Rodrigo’s work, on the streets and in the galleries, is truly a site to see. His large scale street pieces seem to take over walls and attract the eye with their easy way and bold visuals, making Rodrigo’s work some of the most recognizable upon first impact.
There is so much emotion wrapped into his latest works which is presented in such base manners. Seemingly simple black and white images, that are approachable and still relateable on a deep level. The pieces have their own way of speaking beyond their face value with their use of tones and movement.
Like a Brazilian mix of Lucy McLauchlan and Blu, Rodrigo’s work is simple and strong. Base and brilliant. Emotive and easy.
Check out some of Rodrigo’s work below, we’re a big fan!
